LE MUSÉE DES DINOSAURES
The first French cultural site dedicated to DINOSAURS, offering a journey back to the origins of life on Earth
45 kilometres south of Carcassonne, this museum takes you back to prehistoric times, when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Open since June 1992, it's just three kilometres from France's largest deposit of dinosaur fossils. Its 2,500m2 of permanent exhibition space isdevoted to dinosaurs and other fossils of reptiles, mammals, invertebrates and plants discovered all over the world (20,000 fossils on display). You'll be amazed by the 12 life-size dinosaur reconstructions, the 18 complete dinosaur skeletons from around the world, and the animated, larger-than-life T-rex! The museum offers a real journey back in time with its "evolution gallery", which goes back to the origins of life on Earth nearly 4.5 billion years ago. Take a tour of the Cretaceous greenhouse and its plants from the secondary era, and discover the story behind the discovery of Eva's skeleton! The visit is sure to delight young and old alike! The museum's paleontologists share and present the results of 30 years of research. Workshops are also on offer, enabling visitors to learn more about the profession of paleontologist and take part in real excavations. The museum is run by the DINOSAURIA association, whose main objectives are scientific research, training and the dissemination of paleontological knowledge.

Members' reviews on LE MUSÉE DES DINOSAURES
The ratings and reviews below reflect the subjective opinions of members and not the opinion of The Little Witty.
Le musée est assez ludique. A voir.
