Want a little piece of Italy in the heart of Gruissan (village)? See you at the Tavola. The decoration of the premises designed by Sonia is neat, the inside of the restaurant is an extension of the street, it feels like a small Sicilian trattoria. For an outdoor meal, the small terrace is very pleasant. Sonia will welcome you with the most beautiful smile and a whole new concept: make your choice on the menu, take your most beautiful pen and note on a pre-filled sheet of paper your order and then bring it to Sonia who assists her husband in the kitchen, she will then give you a small box that will vibrate and flash when your dish is ready. Calogero, her Sicilian husband, cooks the seasonal vegetables that you will find on the plate of pickled and grilled vegetables, for example. Specialties such as delicious bruschettas are available or delicatessen dishes directly from Italy. Pizzas are delicious, homemade doughnuts and fresh vegetables make all the difference. And when Calogero, from its open kitchen, gives voice, there is nothing missing in a total change of scenery. As a dessert, the tiramisu seduced us like the little bardolino that accompanied our meal. Possibility to choose a pizza to take away and enjoy it on the beach. La Tavola, an address like we love them!

Concernant la qualité des pizzas il n’y a aucun problèmes, elles sont délicieuses et le savoir faire est bel et bien présent.
Il y a un morceau d’Italie dans ce lieu, c’est indéniable.
En revanche je rejoins certains avis, le pizzaiolo n’est pas très rigoureux, la prise de commande est approximative, tout juste notée.
Résultat : sur deux pizzas commandées, une d’entre elle n’existe même pas à la carte… est-ce par manque de matière première ? une étourderie ? On ne saura jamais, heureusement nous nous sommes quand même régalés! ????
