Abbey founded in the 12th century, one of the first abbeys of Cistercian nuns in France, store and guesthouse on site.
Founded in the twelfth century, this is one of the first abbeys of the Cistercian nuns in France. From the primitive abbey, containing remains of the abbey with the pure and uncluttered architecture from the late 12th century, it was never rebuilt. Since 1998, the small community that lives made the Gregorian chants resound in the ancient chapel. They gradually cleared the area around the monastery so as to cultivate necessary products and raise farm animals. All year round visitors wishing to explore the Cistercian heritage and Christians wanting to stop or take a spiritual retreat and participate in the monastic offices of the day are received by the community that provides hotel services. Daytrip visitors should not fail to go through the abbey's shop that offers cheese, pies, jams, candies, homemade teas, essential oils, hydrosols and organic vegetable oils, and a small library where you can find books as well as beautiful postcards, CDs...
