BASILIQUE SAINT-PAUL
This basilica is the first Gothic church of the city and one of the oldest of the Midi.
Built on the site of the tomb of the apostle and first bishop of Narbonne, the Basilica of Saint Paul is the first Gothic church in the city and one of the oldest in the South of France. Built in 1180, it was reworked over the centuries, combining Romanesque and Gothic styles. Several building sites followed one another: construction of the choir between 1224 and 1230, restructuring of the vaults around 1368, addition of bays in the 15th century and strengthening of the pillars in the 16th century. To see: the crypt, the capital of the Last Judgment and the frog stoup.
