ESTATE AND CASTLE AUZIAS

It is the heart of the profession and of the wine growers… the sacred land! The respect of the earth and of know-how are particularly highlighted at the Château Auzias, which stretches into one of only 200 ha, half of which are in vines, two steps from the City of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi, two sites classified by UNESCO. The property, installed on the ancient Abbey Notre-Dame de Paretlongue, founded in the 13th century by the canons of Carcassonne, lives in fusion with the PDO Cabardès, the only French appellation, with the neighbouring Malepère, which combines Atlantic grape varieties (merlots, Cabernet) and Mediterranean (Grenache, Syrah), by producing before the hour and on the Old Continent wines developed in the vineyards of the New World. Château Auzias advocates the respect of the traditions and the artisanal quality of its wines during guided visits, by car or by side-because, in the vineyards, then in the chai and in the cellars, with its own bottling chain, before the lively tastings in the cellar, remarkable by its telescopic tasting table and the impressive amount of medals and diplomas awarded to the wines of the Château and hung on the walls. In order to take the full measure of winemaking, Château Auzias offers a great workshop to create its own assembly, thus its own wine, by means of several mono, pieces and boucheuse! A "success story" which already calls another, since today the Château Auzias is present in China… The lucky ones may encounter happiness by tasting one of the Chinese wines produced at Château Reifeng-Auzias, property of the Auzias family in Penglai, Province of Yantai, in the Chinese Far East, which is among the best wines in the world according to the London World Wine Award!
