MAISON ÉCLUSIÈRE DE LA RÉSERVE DE SAINTE-LUCIE
House integrated in the perimeter around the canals of the Midi and Robine classified by UNESCO as World Heritage of Humanity
This old farmhouse built in 1872 was transformed into a lock keeper's house during the construction of the canal. It is part of the perimeter around the Midi and Robine canals, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The creation of the Narbonnaise en Méditerranée Regional Nature Park, then the creation of a Regional Nature Reserve for the Sainte Lucie Island salt flats and the Vieille Nouvelle beach, protects and enhances the exceptional biodiversity of the site.
