Gothic church, the oldest monument of the city located in Aigues-mortes

Named after the swamps that surrounded the town, this Gothic church is the town's oldest monument (13th century). Built before the city walls, it is the last surviving example of the Saint Louis era, and was ransacked and neglected before becoming a church again in 1804. Listed as a historical monument since 1991, the altar is also classified. Claude Viallat, a well-known local artist, installed 31 stained glass windows in collaboration with Bernard Dhonneur, a master glassmaker.

Jolie mais pas exceptionnelle
Nous y sommes entrés pour pouvoir répondre aux questions de la chasse au trésor de l'office de tourisme, sinon, nous serions passés devant sans franchir la porte. Mais cela reste tout de même une jolie église.

Elle fût édifiée par ST LOUIS et est le monument le plus ancien de la ville. A la révolution elle a été utilisée comme temple, caserne et entrepôt à grains et à sel. L'intérieur a de jolis vitraux et une charpente en bois
