A pure Camargue product, its real treasure, reed has been used since Antiquity to make roofs. In winter, the reed is harvested in the marsh and then transformed by André Calba, a "sagneur" by trade, in his workshop in Aimargues. André works in the marshes from December to March, then works the material to make "paillassons". Do not hesitate to call to visit his workshop to discover this trade and the products made here such as thatched roofs, pergolas and windbreaks.
