This world-famous company was founded in 1968 by surgeon veterinarian Jean Catharys in the small village of Aimargues in the Gard region. Its activity, focused on animal welfare, has experienced rapid growth in France and throughout the country. The company has been acquired three times by major French and foreign groups (Guyomarc'h in 1972, Paribas Affaires Industrielles in 1990, Mars Incorporated since 2002). Leader on the French market, the brand is aimed at individuals as well as breeders, veterinarians and specialized stores. The headquarters (Headquarters and Research Centre) are still located in Aimargues, as is the company's largest production plant in France
