Historic restaurant, the oldest still in operation in Alès, offering home-made brandade au gratin, local meats...
You'll fall under the spell of this historic restaurant - the oldest still in operation in Alès. Frédéric Béguin turned it into a must-visit restaurant for 30 years, and Flora, the new owner, has changed absolutely nothing. The à la carte menu, the characterful menu (read on), the ambience: everything exudes the South, the Gard, the Cévennes, and it's a real treat. You'd think you were being welcomed into the home of a local family, and while the place claims to be slow food, you won't be kept waiting. We go there for the Cevennes fricassee, the home-made brandade au gratin and a choice of local meats. A real treat.
