Three fairs, whose tradition dates back to the Middle Ages, take place every year in the city centre of Alès. There are local products, antiques items, books, discs, clothes, kitchen utensils… The winter fair is held on 17 January, the Spring fair on 27 April and the fair of the Saint-Barthélémy on 24 August.
