Barjac's historic center, with a free map of the village and 2 discovery trails, available from the Tourist Office
With its medieval houses, Renaissance-style townhouses and fortified castle, Barjac's well-restored historic center is a delight for history buffs. The castle keep, built in the 12th century, offers a superb view of the town from its summit. The chapel of the Capuchin convent, the town hall, the church of Saint-Laurent and the castle of the Counts of Roure are also worth a visit. A map of the village, with 2 discovery trails, is available free of charge from the Tourist Office.
