TURRET FARMHOUSE
In the 1980 s, archaeological excavations uncovered vestiges of ancient houses, amphorae used to carry the wine and a pottery shop with its oven. The owners of the estate and wine growers then decide to reconstitute a vine parcel and a cellar of the Roman era in operation: the Roman cellar was born. A 500-metre journey is set around a Roman garden, leads to the site of archaeological excavations and presents the remains of a pottery plant. The history of wine in Roman times and the winemaking processes are exposed to you. During the "Roman harvest" you will see young people trampling on the grapes. The juice collected is then transferred, with spices, in dolia (large pots where the vinification will take place). You will taste and buy Roman wines from the area.
