RESURGENCE AND FOUX MILL
Going back from the hamlet of Navacelles to the Causse de Blandas, on the detour of a corner, starts a trail of less than one kilometer leading to the site of the Moulin de la Foux. Here, the river de La Vis comes out of earth with incredible force. A mill has once been built in such a way as to take advantage of this phenomenon, which has long been mysterious. The explanation is as follows: The Vis which takes its source on Mount Saint-Guiral disappears in Larcy in a very permeable limestone rock. Enriched with many underground tributaries, it resurfaces at the foot of the plateau.
