The children of the Fourbet family have taken up the torch of this artisanal pottery, respecting the local tradition. Legend has it that the Anduze vase was born in 1610: a potter saw a Medici vase at the Beaucaire fair and had the idea of making an elegant vase combining Italian exuberance and Cevennes austerity, with garlands and macaroons decorating a vase in the shape of an upside-down bell placed on a shower base. Real jewels of the southern gardens, they are today exported all over the world.
