DOMAINE D'AIGUES-BELLES
Situated between Quissac and Brouzet-lès-Quissac, in a place called Aiguebelle, 40 kilometres from Nîmes and Montpellier, the Domaine d'Aigues-Belles was founded in 1870. It was Eugène Bosc who initiated the creation of this estate, which is still run by the family today. At the head of the estate are Gilles Palatan and his nephews, Patrice and Thierry Lombard, who perpetuate these ancestral and family traditions. They produce terroir wines of the highest quality. Of these 20 hectares in production, 6 are classified as Coteaux du Languedoc and the rest as Vin de Pays d'Oc. The grapes are harvested by hand in 20 kilo crates, sorted in the vineyard and then in the cellar before destemming and putting into vats. The white grapes are picked at night to avoid oxidation. The vines, aged from 6 to 40 years old, are cultivated using integrated pest management. This estate, rightly renowned for its different vintages, is regularly honoured by professionals in the food trade. The cuvée le Premier Rolle 2018 has been elected ambassador of the Pays d'Oc PGI wines for the 2019 collection
