This site in Collias is a highly protected natural area, where tourists and locals alike enjoy walking and swimming.

The Gardon river flows at the foot of Collias: its welcoming banks are lined with pebble beaches and sometimes even sandy beaches. The swimming is 100% natural, attracts many locals and is well known to tourists. What remains is the pleasure that only freshwater bathing can provide. The Gorges du Gardon is a highly protected natural area in the Gard. Its not-always-easy-to-access surroundings are well worth the effort, especially between Russan and Collias, and offer a choice of unforgettable walks (the Baume de Sainte-Verédème in particular). A real pleasure to explore by canoe.

superb downhill slopes of canoe! the water is fresh!
