CHÂTEAU DES COCCINELLES
The Fabre family's adage is to work with nature, respecting this fabulous estate that stretches between the Pont du Gard and the Pont d'Avignon, on the Côtes du Rhône road. The Château des Coccinelles has built up an unfailing reputation. Since 1978, the vineyard has been run in organic agriculture, and that is why this estate has taken the name of the little beast of the Good Lord, a great predator of evil insects for the cultivation. Each generation has never ceased to pursue improvements, choosing quality grape varieties, choosing high-performance techniques for winemaking, choosing an agriculture that favours methods that preserve resources and natural balances. These commitments are set out in a set of specifications, but above all it is a real state of mind, to preserve the land, to respect nature. The biological bias is evident here at all stages. The young generation, keen on organic farming and determined to raise the colours of their vineyard, offers wines with finesse and fruitiness, but with a suave complexity. Behind this wine, there is a story, human adventures, a work of goldsmith to give us dreams. Acknowledged work, as the estate has won numerous medals: Gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole and the 2019 International Wine Challenge for the Château des Coccinelles Côtes du Rhône Bio. New this year, a special Cuvée "Elytres" vinified without added sulphites to celebrate the estate's centenary.
