CHRISTOPHE GOURGAS
Christophe Gourgas was already a multi-cap farmer: winegrower and arborist. A few years ago, however, he decided to add a new string to his bow by planting a thousand grenadiers on his land. The trees yielded their first fruits in 2013. Harvesting generally begins at the end of September and can last until the end of the year. Hand-picked, the pomegranates, when not sold whole, are pressed within the farm itself to become a scarlet coloured juice. Christophe Gourgas is indeed surfing on the success of this drink, which is said to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral properties.
