The Restaurant du Commerce is an institution of the city, in fact it is one of the very first restaurants in Goudargues. Mathilde has now been at the head of this establishment for five years. Facing the canal, they work in threes and offer a traditional cuisine revisited and elaborated with fresh ingredients. The chef of the place puts together, composes and invents recipes designed to seduce the greatest number of people. These are "back from the market" dishes that change according to the seasons. When we arrived we noticed that the slate was deliciously filled. The chef proposes the day when we go asparagus risotto, Iberian ham and parmesan, Ardèche salmon trout and its mango rougail, homemade profiteroles, mango soufflé. A young and dynamic team serves you well. It's local, fresh, a celebration of southern cuisine. During your visit, we advise you to try foie gras marbled in red wine and stuffed with pear compote, this dish was awarded a gold medal at the Gard competition for militant taste. All this can be enjoyed in the beautiful stone room that combines modernity and tradition or on the terrace of the establishment where you can enjoy the view of the canal.
