An Orthodox monastery in the Gard, connected to that of Simonos Petra on Mount Athos occupied by the Sisters of Solan. In a main building, restored with local stone, a space is reserved for the community life of these nuns of the Orthodox Church. Other rooms are dedicated to welcoming the public, as this Gard monastery, well hidden in the hollow of a wild valley, opens its doors to visitors. You will be able to walk around the estate and discover the cultivated fields (vines, fruit trees, vegetable garden) in the middle of a large Mediterranean forest.

Arrivées à 14h30 ,tout fermé ce jeudi, aprés avoir sonné une soeur sort et nous dit que la visite commence à 15 hrs ou peut-étre 16 hrs ,elle n'a vraiment l'air de savoir ...??? Bref ne perdaient pas votre temps en déplacement car d'aprés la pancarte c'est ouvert jusqu'a 17 hrs .Vraiment dommage car ce batiment avait l'apparence très belle ,mais je ne prendrais pas le rique deux fois !
