Built in the xivth century, of the southern Gothic style, Notre-Dame-Neuve succeeds the Romanesque church Saint-Geniès, this building has the main features of the southern Gothic style, namely a unique nef flanked by three lateral chapels ending with a narrower chorus. The vision of the monument has a massive aspect which also gives it a defensive role, towards the ramparts of the medieval village.
