Remarkable value for money for this restaurant, which is often fully booked at peak weekday lunchtimes. The menu is diversified, and the plates are generous enough to make it hard to finish them, but we keep coming back for more, because the dishes are so tasty. You enter through the bar-tabac, where you're immersed in a friendly atmosphere reminiscent of a brasserie, with the added bonus of culinary refinement. The service is attentive, almost friendly, and you immediately feel welcome and comfortable. Between Alès and Portes, a must-stop on the way to the Cévennes.
