Museum dedicated to the lighthouse and the world of fishing, offering a fascinating insight into its past and its importance for the region
A small museum dedicated to the lighthouse and the world of fishing is housed in the former keeper's quarters of the emblematic Grau-du-Roi lighthouse. Built in 1827 and illuminated in 1828, this lighthouse is a true historical symbol of the region. Inhabited until the 1970s, this place steeped in history has now been classified as a regional historic monument, preserving its heritage for future generations. Although the lighthouse tower is not open to the public, exploring the museum offers a fascinating insight into its past and importance to the region.
