A small corner of paradise in the forest of Mount Aigoual with its different species such as the spruce, the larch, the black point...
A little corner of botanical paradise at 1300 m altitude, on the southern flank of Mont Aigoual. By the beginning of the 20th century, the forest on Mont Aigoual had been severely depleted by the transhumance of livestock and the over-exploitation of woodlands. Faced with this situation, in 1902 Georges Fabre and Charles Flahault set about reforesting the area, creating 10 arboretums, including the Hort de Dieu arboretum. They introduced 219 species of trees and shrubs, including spruce and black pine.
