MEDENON CIRCUIT
A circuit with nine turns of varying difficulty, as well as a secondary track dedicated to training.
Created in 1970 by two enthusiasts, Jean-Claude and Sylvie Bondurand, the Lédenon circuit is certified grade 2 and considered one of the most technical in France. Big heart and good physical condition to be expected, the track is very nice and even the novices who will be able to hang on will enjoy themselves if the bike has a minimum of power and torque on the free training sessions, riding training, first time on the track... Here we turn counterclockwise to tease the clock. 3,150 metres of track for a width ranging from 9 to 12 metres and climbs and descents that make the circuit one of the most hilly in France. The circuit does not let up. Nine bends, and as many different difficulties: the triple left that makes the reputation of the Lédenon circuit, the bridge bend, a long straight slope at 6% with acceleration on the uphill, the left which kills, which is negotiated almost blindly and with a slight gradient, the right turn at 45 degrees from the truck, undoubtedly the most impressive, just after the cavalet, which marks the beginning of a 10% climb, in other words that you have to break your speed, but also play it fine to avoid losing too much time, all the art of the right dosage and the perfect trajectory, then change of support with the left, where it is necessary to remain concentrated, because it will be necessary to be well positioned for the horseshoe, a big left in which it is necessary to try to keep momentum, then the descent and its successive and delicate changes of support, the basin, a left at 90 degrees very technical which begins at the end of the great descent and continues on the beginning of the climb, in other words that the art of braking control and maintaining a sufficient speed will mark the difference from one pilot to another. Note that there is a secondary track dedicated to internships. The dates to remember: the Promosport French Cup (7-8 September 2019), the French Superbike Championship (1-2 June 2019) and the Endurance Championship, which pass through the asphalt of Lédenon.
