GANG DE GRANDS-MÈRES
Chantal, Christiane, Simone, Huguette, and others with nicely outdated names, are members of a very active gang on the Gard side. This mafia, exclusively feminine, reigns over very particular sectors: those of quality wool and made in France. At the boot of Hugo Camusso, their godfather and boss who grew up in the skirts of a dressmaker mother, these energetic grannies naturally handle knitting needles to make handmade hats, scarves, bow ties, ties, headbands... This Grandmothers' Gang - GDGM - was formed in 2014 by the young man who wanted to undertake things differently and sustainably, while developing his attraction to the world of fashion. GDGM is therefore a line of coloured accessories, whose models are designed in the Vaucluse, the wool spun and dyed in Haute-Loire, and the clothing made in the Gard. In addition to maintaining its craftsmanship, the company is committed to a social and solidarity-based approach. Part of the turnover is donated to the knitting hands of the "Les mamies du gang" association to finance care, sports activities, outings, and more broadly to revitalize the image of seniors.
