CHÂTEAU DE SÉGRIÈS
It is in this family estate, handed down from generation to generation since 1804 to the members of the Régis de Gatimel family, that the 58 hectares of old, sometimes century-old vines are cultivated, including 30 hectares in one piece in the heart of the Lirac appellation. Here, the vinification and production are declined in three colours for three appellations AOP Tavel, Lirac and Côtes du Rhône. Clay and limestone in nature, the soils make an essential contribution to the quality of the wines harvested, as do the traditional cultivation methods and grape varieties used. Essentially harvested by hand, and traditionally vinified, the wines of Ségriès have roundness and body. This is the case of the Tavel rosé de Saignée, which can be recognized on the nose by the intensity of its strawberry and raspberry aromas. But this time we will remember the small production for the white PDO, picked at the end of the harvest and which produces a totally atypical wine.
