SERICYNE
Sericyne has made Paris his base. But if the head is in the capital, within a huge campus dedicated to start-ups, the feet of this company, created by Clara Hardy and Constance Madaule, are in Monoblet, in a former silkworm farm in the Cévennes. In the land of the silkworm, the two young women - one with a design diploma and a craft training, the other with a degree in agricultural engineering - are developing a revolutionary concept for the sector. Their bombyx mori (blackberry worms), educated for 30 days, no longer produce cocoons, but spin what they call nonwoven directly on moulds - circular, square, conical... This precious material, as light as it is sparkling, which lends itself to all imaginations - dyeing, embroidery, hot stamping... - already attracts many desires, especially among the great fashion houses, designers, architects, stylists..
