CHÂTEAU DE MONTFRIN
It is in this 60 ha estate on the right bank of the Rhône, between Arles, Nîmes and Avignon, that extra virgin olive oil is produced, fine and delicate. From 150,000 trees planted in fruit hedges, the olives come from 15 Mediterranean varieties, including the Catalan harbequin and the small ribier. Its fresh notes of apple, artichoke and cut herbs are incomparable. Presented in bottles reminiscent of wine bottles (this large estate of about 200 hectares is divided between olive growing for the Moulin des Ombres and viticulture for the Domaines des Captives, also organic, as well as farmland.), this oil has repeatedly won the favour of the jury of Que choisir magazine, which highlights the "purity of its taste". All its production is AB certified.
