The price of a work of art does not fit into your budget? Do you like engraving? Have you ever thought about renting a print? These are the kinds of questions the Artothèque Sud can ask you. This associative structure with a cultural vocation, the only one of its kind in the Gard, offers individuals and public institutions (hospitals, colleges) the opportunity to rent a work of art on paper, to be chosen from its collection. For 4 € per work and per month, in addition to membership, you can borrow a work and hang it on your walls, for 3 months renewable. With a maximum of 4 works at a time. The Association is an art gallery, which also offers courses in engraving (lithography, silkscreen printing) and manages a graphic arts insertion project. It should be noted here that the Artothèque Sud is subsidised by the Direction des Affaires Culturelles du Languedoc-Roussillon, the Languedoc-Roussillon Region, the Conseil général du Gard and the Mairie de Nîmes. Its main mission is certainly the promotion of contemporary art. It also has a collection of no less than 850 works.
