The Nîmes half-marathon takes place on May 1st at the start of the stade des Costières. If the half-marathon qualifies for the French Championships, the event is open to both athletes and Sunday athletes. There are three races on the program: the 21,100 kilometre half-marathon, the 10 kilometre intermediate race and the 5 kilometre easy race. The 5 km route uses the streets of the historic heart of the city and passes in front of its main monuments. All the athletes travel together for the first few kilometres before separating according to the race chosen. The finish is in front of the stadium.
