FÉRIA DES VENDANGES

The Féria des Vendanges, which takes place on the third Friday, Saturday and Sunday of September, closes the temporada (bullfighting season). Less important than the Féria de Pentecôte, it lasts only three days and is reserved for a more bullfighting-inclined public. Bullfights, abrivados and bandidos rock the city streets to the sound of the peñas, and Sevillanas are danced late into the night. Simon Casas, the bullring's director for the past four decades, is responsible for its renown, making it an exceptional event every year.
