Amazing garden where themed tours and workshops are organized in Saint-André-de-Majencoules.

It's an astonishing terraced garden that tells a story... A place where Agnès and Nicholas imaginatively cultivate the landscape. Ponds provide coolness along the way, rounded benches invite young and old to dream, and stone trees complete the marvellous portrait of this garden buzzing with life. Themed tours and workshops are organized on a regular basis. The Jardin des Sambucs offers on-site catering and accommodation. Pets are welcome, provided they are kept on a leash.

Opening time and information on THE SAMBUCS GARDEN

Open from April to the end of August. April to mid-May, Monday to Friday, 2pm to 5:30pm, weekends and public holidays, 10am to 6pm. From mid-May to mid-September, daily from 10am to 6pm. Last admission: 6pm. Length of visit: 1h30. English and German welcome. Adults: €7.50. Ages 5 to 18: €5. Guided theme tours on reservation for groups of 8 or more, €10/person except July and August. Organic vegetarian snacks by prior arrangement on 06 52 70 78 55 for visitors only, €13.50. Water gardens, garden library, siesta benches, singular art, exhibitions, sculptures. Credit cards not accepted.

Que dire d'un tel lieu, sinon qu'il ne s'agit pas seulement d'un "jardin remarquable" (label) mais d'un jardin unique, extraordinaire, merveilleux, inclassable ! Souci du végétal du "jardin en mouvement", multiples recoins de paysages secrets et de cachettes où se poser et goûter l'air du temps, et partout ces œuvres minérales qui surprennent, émerveillent, provoquent l'admiration ou le sourire, avec cet humour loufoque dont les maîtres des lieux semblent bien pourvus. On reste pantois devant les efforts titanesques qu'il a fallu à ce couple passionné pour construire ce labyrinthe de chemins empierrés, de petits jardins secrets et de bassins charmants. Pas seulement une découverte, un moment merveilleux

Cet endroit de verdure et de sculpture est a voir,un jardin magique et insolite,une ambiance calme et apaisante.
Je vous le conseille. Et n'hésite pas à la fin de la visite de boire la boisson a l'hibiscus qui est un pur délice.
