CHÂTEAU CORRENSON
On magnificent plots decorated with rolled pebbles to store heat, the Peyre family cultivates 70-year-old grenache vines on the right bank of the Rhône. Syrah, mourvèdre for concentrated and elegant reds. Vincent Peyre has been carefully managing the vines for more than ten years. The harvest is done manually, for more quality. Only the grapes at their best ripeness reach the oak barrels. The Vinolentia cuvée in the Lirac appellation has a deep garnet colour. The bouquet exhales aromas of blackberries, spices and cashew candy. The attack is seductive, with perfectly curved silky tannins on red fruits, black cherries, farigoulette and sweet spices. The aftertaste brings out many flavours: cocoa, liquorice, fruit confit, cinnamon and violet. In the Tavel appellation, rosé wines are fabulous. The white wines of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc and Viognier are not to be underestimated. Father Marc and son Vincent share a love of a job well done and produce elegant, fine, warm wines with character in harmony with the fabulous terroirs of which they are the respectful custodians.
