A museum where you can discover the art and techniques of spinning and weaving, crafts that have provided a livelihood for many local people

An impressive collection of 10,000 exhibits offers an instructive insight into the life, know-how and history of the Cévennes. Man and the objects he has created occupy a central place in the museum's discourse and scenography. The memory of the spinning mill, the oldest to introduce innovations and the last in operation in France, is treated as a precious heritage, magnified by a deliberately contemporary renovation and extension.
