ARTISANALE DU CACHEMIRE
L'Artisanale du cashmere settled in 1990, in the heart of the Cévennes, on the lands of the silkworm. Almost thirty years later, the company has succeeded in perpetuating and imposing its exceptional know-how in the manufacture of goat's wool sweaters from Mongolia. This very precious hair is collected on the torso and collar of the animals, before reaching Scotland where it is tinted. He then arrives in Saint-Martial in bobbins of threads about ten microns thick, where small hands will transform him into sweaters, after several hours of meticulous work. The cashmere pieces are then bathed in the shale waters of the Rieutord, the small stream that runs along the workshop. An essential step to give the sweaters an almost eternal softness. Their reputation for quality has spread far beyond the borders of the Gard. L'Artisanale du cashmere has among its clients some American film stars.
