DOMAINE REYNAUD
The Reynaud family and the vineyard have maintained an intimate relationship for several generations: four to be precise. And all the sweetness and fragrance of the wines of the Duchy of Uzès are represented in the estate of Luc Reynaud, grandson of a winegrower and enthusiast, who created his own cellar and vintages in 2000. In 2019, for the second season, the estate embarked on a sustainable and organic viticulture approach. The estate located east of Uzès covers 50 hectares in the commune of Saint-Siffret and produces wines from three different appellations (PDO Duché d'Uzès, IGP Côteaux du Pont du Gard, IGP Cévennes). This creates special wines, probably because the vast majority of its vines are oriented to the north, allowing grape varieties such as vermentino to make maximum use of the aromatic potential of the terroir, without suffering the harmful effects of a devastating summer sun. At very interesting prices, Luc Reynaud offers supple and silky wines from the Duchy, where black Grenache and Syrah dominate for the reds, viognier and white Grenache for the whites, Syrah for a raspberry rosé. Wines from the slopes of the Pont du Gard allow you to discover the virtues of Merlot in the Uzetian regions. A smooth cartagena completes the range. All this is to be tasted.
