CHATEAU LA CLOTTE-FONTANE
This 18th century castle, built on the ruins of a Roman building, is located on the edge of Vidourle. Marilyne and Philippe Pagès have endowed this 130-hectare estate with a modern cellar combined with traditional techniques of a know-how that endures. From this vineyard situated on slopes of rolled pebbles, but also on a clay-limestone plateau, come beautiful cuvées in AOC Coteaux du Languedoc and Vin de Pays d'Oc, such as this red cuvée Mouton La Clotte made of Syrah and Grenache, matured in barrels, ample, deep, intense, fine aromas, but which must be given a little time.
