This aven's impressive dimensions contribute to its fascination
Unlike many chasms, this one remains nameless. You are therefore invited to give it a name during your visit. The Vidourle, a river already exploited by the Romans, emerges again after its underground journey, occupying a strategic position as the ideal physical boundary between the Gard and Hérault departments. The gouffre's impressive dimensions, measuring 90 metres in circumference and 40 metres in depth, contribute to the attraction it exerts. It is only accessible via the red trail.
