Sauve is a town of artists, and this gallery is its cultural epicenter. Founded by Julie Katan and the late Aline Kominsky-Crumb, the gallery features works by renowned American comic artist Robert Crumb, a leading figure in the counter-culture of the 1960s, an era he portrayed with a critical and subversive spirit. It also features works by his wife Aline and their daughter Sophie, thematic exhibitions in addition to sculptures, paintings and installations by the forty permanent artists, and occasional concerts and screenings.
