WINDOW TOWER

With a height of 42 m, the tower is the only circular bell tower in the country and the only reminder of the Romanesque cathedral.
An Italian-style bell tower unique in France, the Fenestrelle Tower is the only circular medieval bell tower in the country. The only remnant of the Romanesque cathedral destroyed during the Wars of Religion, this harmonious tower dates back to the 12th century. Well-preserved and magnificently proportioned, it impresses at first sight, with its 42-meter height, six tapering stepped floors and elongated arched windows. It is best appreciated from the top of Saint-Théodorit Cathedral, as there is no access from the inside.
