Museum in apalace in Villeneuve, home to Enguerrant Quarton's masterpiece and a collection of paintings.
This magnificent14th-century palace was the residence of Cardinal Pierre de Luxembourg, who is believed to have died here. The museum houses two masterpieces of the Middle Ages: Enguerrand Quarton's Coronation of the Virgin (1453) and the famous Ivory Madonna (14th century), an exceptional sculpture if ever there was one. The first and second floors also feature a fine collection of paintings from the 16th to 18th centuries, almost all from the city's religious establishments.

A voir quelques peintures, une dizaine environ, superbement restaurées. Cependant, très peu de tableaux à admirer.
Dommage pour un Musée.
