Restaurant with good products on the terrace to enjoy local dishes

The restaurant La Canopée occupies a prime location far from the usual bistro restaurants in the region, in fact it is located within the Château de Pondres. Already occupied by a four-star hotel, the monument brings a refined atmosphere to the establishment and the table service reinforces this feeling of great elegance. We are delighted to find on site the original kitchen, whose monumental fireplace and 5 m high ceiling have been preserved. The room overlooks the beautiful main courtyard, its fountain, its terrace and has a superb view over the castle park. At the table, we are happy to find a chef with a professional background: Frédérick Pelletier. This passionate fan of good products, winner of the "Gault & Millau Jeunes Talents" award in 2006, follows the careful line of the monument. At the table, he delights his guests with dishes inspired by the terroir and flavours of the Mediterranean.

pas de choix deux menus qui se ressemblent sans originalité la carte se sont les mêmes plats que le menu. La chaleur des plats n'est pas au point , nous pensons que le cuisinier doit faire de gros efforts. La salle est très bruyante

Cadre exceptionnel, carte et prix à la hauteur... Mais avoir une bonne vue: les assiettes sont belles à photographier, par contre les portions servies sont dignes de bouchées de dégustation! Au rapport "quantité-prix", tous les records sont battus.
