TRAMWAY - LIGNE 3
The city of Montpellier has four different tramway lines. One of them - line 3 - allows you to get considerably closer to the beaches and the Pays de l'Or. Indeed, the route takes the Avenue Raymond-Dugrand and the Route de Carnon to Lattes et Pérols. The Pérols Étang de l'Or terminus is less than two kilometres from the sea, or about 20 minutes' walk. The advantage of this line is that, in addition to being closer to the beach, it runs through Montpellier from east to west, which means that holidaymakers in the Pays de l'Or can reach the city's station in less than 20 minutes.
For the record, the cars on line 3 were decorated by Christian Lacroix: he decided to decorate the exterior with a marine theme of fish and shellfish, treated like embroidery.
