Under the aegis of the General Council, the Directorate of Rural Equipment and Land Action (DERAF) protects and values héraultais heritage. It has set up the green network, a guided and signposted route of 500 km which allows to cross the Hérault from east to west, on foot, horse or mountain biking, the hikes are punctuated by stops in gîtes of stages. Thanks to the action of this service, 20 domains are open to the public, inviting to discover the natural and historical heritage of the department.
