Restaurant with bar appreciated for its simple formula with fresh products

Paul Gineste de Saurs launched this restaurant in Paris in 1959, followed by Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Lyon and Montpellier. The formula is simple and there's no choice: a walnut salad for starters, followed by a 170-gram slice of striploin with home fries (as much as you like) and his famous sauce. The sauce, the recipe for which is jealously guarded, is a delightful accompaniment to tender, delicious meat. All products are fresh and prepared to order. Inside, on several floors, you'll find the black and tartan wall decor and the lemon yellow that brightens up the tablecloths, menus and waitresses' outfits. Two wines to choose from: a Bordeaux, Réserve de l'Entrecôte and a Faugères. If you still have a bit of appetite left, try the desserts: fresh pineapple carpaccio; for those with a sweet tooth, dare to try the profiteroles! Be patient, as there are often many people waiting outside the bar, ideally around 7 or 10 pm.

Place of life and cheerful atmosphere (once one is table because there is always a queue, including winter). One is never disappointed because it is always good. The welcome and service are efficient. Very good value for money. Parking 100 metres away.
