THE TROUT VALLEY
The Truyère valley, lined with forests and home to exceptional wildlife, including the Great Horned Owl and the Peregrine Falcon
Descending from the Margeride, swelling with the waters of the Triboulin, the Truyère has made a valley at the foot of the Aubrac, from which towns and villages have developed on the first foothills. Shallow on the whole, it offers a trough-like profile. Bordered by forests, the river meanders through the meadows and follows the slope in small jumps. The territory, particularly preserved from the inconveniences of the city, welcomes an exceptional fauna, including the Great Horned Owl and the Peregrine Falcon, which appreciate its natural and wild character.
