On the RN 88, it's hard to miss, and parking is easy. L'Escalette is both a bar and a restaurant. Its forty or so seats in the dining room, plus another thirty or so on the terrace in summer, welcome both local and visiting customers. The cuisine is fresh and traditional, specializing in meats, especially from Aubrac (steak, bavette à l'échalote...). You can also try an Auvergne salad or a good sausage-truffade, depending on the day. The warm atmosphere and excellent service are well worth a visit.

Entree: quiche Lorraine 5mm d'épaisseur
plat : poulet premier prix bien trop cuit, des fites bonnes et haricot en conserve.
Dessert: tiramissu industriel.
