ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF JAVOLS
Dependent on the departmental museum, this exhibition hall houses the famous statue of the Gallo-Roman forest god, Sylvain Sucellus, carved in red sandstone. The archaeological area still has a th century milliaire, which undoubtedly attests to the role of Capitale's capital, with decorative elements and material from Be excavation and other sites in Gevaudan. It mentions the first "museum", this little building still visible in the village, then only to go to the explanatory panels, on the edge of the Triboulin, for a free visit of the site and places of discovery.
